to make a back-up of the groupwise Database on an Suse Linux server and configure with only EXT volumes. You need the normale linux File idata agent.

and of cource the groupwise DB agent.

then confugure the TSA module on the groupwise server as folow:

Change the smsdrd.conf:
vi /etc/opt/novell/sms/smdrd.conf
(edited the following lines)
autoload : tsafs --EnableGW
autoload : tsafsgw --home /(path naar groupwise domain) --home /(path naar groupwise mailstore)

:Save and Quit
rcnovell-smdrd restart

to make it a litte bit faster:

vi /etc/opt/novell/sms/tsafs.conf
- TSAMODE = Dual
- Cachingmode = disable (This will decrease the scan times)
- CachememoryThreshold = 1

To stop the TSA modules

./smsconfig -u tsafs
./smsconfig -u tsafsgw

To verify that the TSA modules are loaded and correct runnig:

./smsconfig -t

to verify if the correct Novell software is installed on your Suse server:

rpm -qa | grep (tsa or sms or novell)
